Singham Again Movie Review

Story: Bajirao Singham (played by Ajay Devgn) is back in action, facing one of his toughest challenges yet. This time, he’s on a mission to save his wife, Avni (Kareena Kapoor), who has been kidnapped by a dangerous terrorist known as Danger Lanka (Arjun Kapoor). Determined to bring her back, Singham heads to Sri Lanka with a strong group of allies, setting off a thrilling story that draws from the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana.

Review: From the very beginning, Bajirao Singham shows why he’s one of the most powerful characters in the action genre. In this new installment directed by Rohit Shetty, the stakes are higher and the action is bigger. Singham’s mission takes him to Sri Lanka, where he’s not only battling to save Avni but also working to dismantle the massive drug empire of Omar Hafiz (Jackie Shroff). Omar’s operation is led by the ruthless Danger Lanka, also known as Zubair Hafiz, who will stop at nothing to make things difficult for Singham.

The storyline is fairly simple, and though it doesn’t dive too deep into complex themes, it doesn’t have to. Fans of the series will appreciate the high-energy scenes, the incredible stunts, and the appearance of other beloved characters. Joining Singham in his mission are Lady Singham (Deepika Padukone), Satya (Tiger Shroff), Simmba (Ranveer Singh), and Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar). Each character has their own unique style, bringing a sense of teamwork to the story that is fun to watch.

Rohit Shetty does a great job of blending intense action scenes with a few cultural elements. There are nods to the Ramayana, one of India’s great epics, as well as to the traditional Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. These references add depth to the film and make it feel richer. Fans of the characters will love each of their entrances, as they are designed to bring excitement and often have the audience cheering. The dialogue, written by Shantanu Srivastav, also stands out. However, at 144 minutes, the film is a bit long, and trimming some scenes could have made the pace faster and smoother.

When it comes to performances, Ajay Devgn is in top form as Bajirao Singham. He brings strength, charisma, and confidence to the role, proving once again why he’s the backbone of the Singham universe. But while Devgn is impressive, it’s Ranveer Singh as Simmba who steals the spotlight. Known for his humor and energetic personality, Singh brings a light-hearted charm to the film that adds a nice balance to all the serious action. His comedic timing is on point, and he delivers some hilarious moments, especially in his mimicry of Devgn and Akshay Kumar. This brings fresh energy to the film when it’s most needed.

Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Akshay Kumar make shorter but memorable appearances, adding to the star power of the cast. Deepika Padukone’s portrayal of Lady Singham is strong and confident, while Tiger Shroff impresses with his martial arts skills. Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi brings his usual charm, adding excitement to the mix. Kareena Kapoor also does well as Avni, bringing warmth and depth to her character. As for Arjun Kapoor, he makes a solid villain. His portrayal of Danger Lanka is intimidating, and he serves as a fitting antagonist to Singham.

Some of the funniest moments come from Simmba’s antics, especially a scene where he ends up at a traditional wedding in Sri Lanka while trying to evade danger.
